Podcast: The Pale Ale Challenge

The contenders tonight.

The contenders tonight.

On this episode of the Ale Evangelist Show, the Scotsman and Drew recap their wonderful time at the Central Valley Brewfest. They bring up their favorite moments, their favorite beers, and generally gush over what a great experience it was. You owe it to yourself to attend next year.

They also put themselves to the test by blind tasting Sierra Nevada Pale Ale up against Deschutes Brewing Company’s Mirror Pond Pale Ale. The Scotsman is on record that he can taste the difference without fail. Can he do it?

Finally, it’s definitely beerfest season, so The Scotsman and Drew have a pretty huge beer

The blind pouring. These sure are close...will we be able to pick which is which?

  1. You were requesting possible blind pour taste tests. I still have two Not Your Father’s Root Beer from before they sold to big brewers. Maybe a side-by-side with the new Not Your Father’s???

    • That would be MOST excellent. I think I have some new ones. Send me an e-mail and let me know if you want to be on the show, or just want to provide the root beer. scotsman(at)aleevangelistshow.com
