A sour , salted sour brewed with watermelon juice? Salty melons, indeed!
In this show, the Scotsman and Drew try a fantastic sour (Paradox Beer Company’s Scully #30) provided to them by Patrick at The Market @ La Comisaria. If you love craft beer and are anywhere near Modesto, you NEED to be visiting the Market located at 500 7th St in downtown Modesto. Amazing craft beer selection, great, friendly service, and a fantastic meat counter.
Also discussed are how to take the plunge and try new beers. Been interested in breaking out of that rut of drinking the same ol’ beer every night or weekend? The ale evangelists discuss ways you can be successful at trying new things! (Hint: One way is stopping by The Market and talking with Patrick! He won’t steer you wrong!)
First off, thank you for mentioning ‘The Market’ on your podcast a few weeks ago. On Saturday the 10th I went there and was blown away by the selection and the service Patrick provided. It sure will be nice not to have to go toward the Bay Area or Sacramento to find quality craft beer. I am already turning on others to support Patrick and his mission of offering great beer!
As always, keep up the great job of evangelizing great beer in our beer desert of the Modesto, Stockton area.
It was absolutely our pleasure to recommend the Market and Patrick to any and all of our listeners. It’s great to know that people are heading over there to support what he’s trying to do here. I hope with our buying power combined, we can make it worth his while. Thanks for the comment, Vince, and thanks for listening!
