Brew Day Final Recipe: Sheep Drool

As I mentioned before, this recipe is based off a clone of Moose Drool. Had to make some substitutions based off the selection of hops available at the homebrew store, but I’m pleased with the recipe. We’ll see how it turns out.

Boil volume: 6.5 gal
OG: 1.055
FG: 1.014
Bitterness (IBU): 32.4
Color (SRM): 21.4
ABV: 5.5%

Two-row (US) 9.000lb Grain 74.5%
Crystal 60L 1.000lb Grain 8.3%
Crystal 20L 0.500lb Grain 4.1%
CaraPils 0.500lb Grain 4.1%
Flaked Oats 0.500lb Adjunct 4.1%
Chocolate Malt (US) 0.333lb Grain 2.8%
Peated Malt 0.125lb Grain 1.0%
Black Patent (US) 0.125lb Grain 1.0%

Kent Golding 1.00oz 6.1% AA Pellet @ 60 min, 19.7 IBU
Willamette 1.00oz 4.2% AA Pellet @ 30 min, 10.4 IBU
Fuggles 1.00oz 3.6% AA Pellet @ 5 min, 2.3 IBU

[Yeast/Other]
Scottish Ale yeast 1.0 unit(s), Yeast

[Recipe Notes]
Mash at 154° for 60 minutes
Sparge as usual.
Boil for 60 minutes
Ferment 66° to 68°
